Design

Conceptual design is the first stage of a design process and outlines the forms, interface features, and functions that a product will have. In this process, fundamental elements such as efficiency, user experiences and needs, and product strategies enable the formation of the design’s core principles. İMTEK shapes all these processes with the contributions of its valued clients, who support the development of its “Innovative Design Language,” and with its 30 years of cryogenic expertise.

In the technical design process, each fundamental parameter must be optimized through detailed calculations. Determining manufacturing tolerances and limits, and understanding their impact on design performance, is the most critical stage of this process. Technical design begins with examining the entire model and all its components, created in the conceptual design phase, using the finite element method to assess the thermal and mechanical stresses they will be subjected to during operation. The conceptual design is then refined through these analyses to create engineering models. Following the production of prototypes of the mature models, the design undergoes necessary functional testing in laboratory conditions. The testing processes, which examine the efficiency and compatibility of all components in terms of operating conditions and functions, constitute the most important stage of the technical design cycle. The design cycle is frozen once the critical design with functions that meet the requirements is achieved.
